OPENING HOURS

The Rosewood Vienna hotel is situated in the most advantageous way conceivable within the city. The hotel is surrounded by upscale retail streets, such as Graben and Tuchlauben, and some of the rooms have views of the dome of St Peter’s, the oldest cathedral in Vienna. Other suites have views of the designer stores, ranging from Louis Vuitton to Bottega Veneta, that line the streets.

Both St. Stephen’s Cathedral, which is known for its brilliant roof tiles, and the renowned Albertina Museum are located within a short walking distance as well.

This landmark from the 19th century, which was formerly the headquarters of Erste Group Bank AG and in which Mozart resided while writing Il Seraglio, has been seamlessly woven together with four other buildings thanks to the efforts of two architectural firms from Vienna, A2K and BEHF, and the interior design studio Alexander Waterworth, which is based in London, was responsible for the decoration.

Although it appears to be imposing from the outside, it actually strikes the perfect balance between modern coolness and a warm and inviting home away from home on the inside. Seek out Viennese Coffee House and Backhausen fabric designs on the curtains, the slippers, the leather bar mats and even the inside of the umbrellas.

Rosewood’s signature sense of place is exemplified by the presence of Wiener Zuckerl candies scattered in bowls throughout the hotel. Additionally, black and white postcards from Vienna are displayed on the shelves of the bedrooms, alongside relevant books on Klimt.

Rooms

By utilising a subdued colour scheme consisting of burnt orange, wood, and neutral tones, the 71 rooms and 28 suites contribute to an atmosphere of warmth. The coat hangers in the dressing room of the suites are upholstered in a soft grey leather. Additionally, the dressing room features a separate section that is equipped with a dressing table that is equipped with a Dyson hairdryer.

Freestanding bathtubs that are adorned with cushions and separate marble showers that are stocked with Maison Caulières toiletries are included in each and every bathroom. The bedrooms come equipped with a spacious bar area that includes a cocktail trolley and spirits, as well as ready-mixed drinks that are located above the minibar, as well as amenities for preparing tea and Nespresso coffee.

Services

The service was exceptional in every manner, from the fact that I was asked if I would like a drink to accompany me on my journey into town to the fact that I was waiting for my baggage (the mint tea that I requested was forced into my hands in the arrivals hall) to the meticulous housekeeping that was performed.

Among the amenities offered are a fitness centre that is open around the clock and the Asaya Spa, which is the first of the Rosewood-branded spas in Europe and features Augustinus Bader in each of its four treatment rooms. It is highly recommended that you make use of the opportunity to unwind in the stunning relaxation area that has a view of St. Peter’s.

Food and drinks

A modern interpretation of a traditional speakeasy, the Cocktail Bar on the rooftop is the product of interior designer Kroenland’s creative vision. You should try one of the distinctive cocktails that are named after the nine districts of Austria. For example, the Golden Roof, also known as the Tyrol cocktail, is a delectable mixture of tequila, juniper, line, pineapple and caraway. The name of this beverage derives from the famous ‘goldenes dachl’, which is a landmark in the old town of Innsbruck.

Neue Hoheit Restaurant is located on the sixth floor, which is one floor below the ground floor. Brasserie meals here combine pan-European favourites like oysters, beef tartare, lobster salad, and steak on the Josper Grill with Austrian staples like “beuschel,” which are bread dumplings topped with sour cream, chives, and egg, and of course, the world-famous Wiener schnitzel. There are a number of wines from Austria on the list, in addition to wines from French, Italian, and Spanish producers.

Our breakfast is served à la carte, and we provide a diverse selection of specialties. It is highly recommended that you sample the chive bread, the homemade bircher muesli and the wonderful local gammon with grated horseradish. Eggs can be prepared in a variety of unique ways, such as eggs Benedict or poached on avocado toast.
